Coasters with painted scenes

I love the little cottage look and feel to this little place...nestled in the woods, ah the perfect setting...I have already made this one into a book...it has coaster covers and kraft colored cardstock pages...

I love the little barn and outbuilding here...looks like just the place for me to raise some chickens...this coaster will be a book later, it was still drying last night...

I was going for a more night time look and feel to these two coasters...hubby says it worked, they look like night time paintings...they are so fun to do...

Painted Mini Book

I love to make mini books and using coasters for the covers makes it so easy...I painted the blue stippled edges on both covers, added the daisy painting to the front cover, sealed with waterbased sealer and used my bind it all spiral binding system to bind the book...I cut 12 pages to go into the book...this book would be a nice way to share special recipes with someone...they can be hand written or computer typed then attached to the pages...or use it as a mini scrapbook to share photos...
